12th Inning

Around-the-Bases CAL – 12th Inning

Week 12©ChiChi Allen 2015

Did you know that there is no regulation on how big the outfield needs to be in American baseball?  So the baseball diamond is always the same size (according to my human google husband, it is 90 ft / 24.43 m between bases) but the space outside of the diamond to the fences, where home-runs are counted, can vary from field to field.

We started with a different size diamond (or rectangle or circle or octagon, etc) for our ATB game, and it is really fun to see how big everyone’s ATB CAL is getting.  This past week someone posted on the CAL – Crochet A Long FB group that hers covered a king size bed after the 11th inning – wow!  That makes me want to make an ATB bedspread. Please keep on sharing photos on FB and also on Around-the-Bases CAL group on Ravelry!  I don’t do Instagram or Tweet but you can share your photos there using @ATBCAL as well!

Please read through all the instructions before starting. This is the week 12 of the 16-week CAL.  The patterns for the first 11 innings/weeks can be found:

PDF print button as well as links to the video tutorial, UK term pattern, and Dutch translation can be found at the bottom of this page.
